Job description

Department: Manufacturing

Reports to: Manager, Manufacturing Quality Engineering

Location: ARC’One – New Westminster, BC

Work Arrangement: In person, with some flexibility to work from home occasionally

Pay Range: $44,700- 55,100, dependent on year of study and related experience

Duration: Four (4) months, Sep 02, 2025 – Dec 19, 2025, with potential for extension

Hours Per Week: 40 hours, Monday to Friday

As a Co-Op Student in our Manufacturing and Quality department, you will gain exposure to the garment manufacturing industry and learn from experts involved in planning, designing, and improving manufacturing processes, materials, and workspace layout to ensure efficient, timely, and quality production.

Meet Your Future Team:

You will collaborate with our Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to establish KPIs, participate in Lean initiatives, and develop continuous improvement projects.

If you were a Quality Engineering Co-Op Student now, your core activities would include:
  • Supporting procurement and commissioning of new machinery and tools for production quality
  • Developing, evaluating, and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inspection guidelines
  • Creating process flow diagrams (PFDs) of manufacturing processes using tools like Miro or PowerPoint
  • Problem-solving and implementing solutions for quality issues
  • Analyzing data using Excel, Smartsheet, or Power BI to support continuous improvement
  • Applying Lean Manufacturing tools to reduce waste and participating in 5S activities

What you will learn by the end of your Co-Op:

  • Lean manufacturing principles and processes
  • Project management skills and developing expertise in specific projects
  • Collaborative work with diverse stakeholders in the garment manufacturing industry
  • Operating various technologies and tools such as 3D Printing, Process Flow development, and testing equipment software
