Job Description

The Day to Day :

  • Achieve the highest service standards and exceed guest expectations daily
  • Collaborate with FOH / BOH management teams to recruit, select, orient, assign, schedule, and review staff
  • Enforce company policies and procedures effectively
  • Meet operational objectives by preparing and implementing action plans, and maintaining quality standards of service
  • Coordinate with Events and Private Dining teams to ensure smooth private dining operations
  • Resolve associate and guest conflicts through service recovery and implement necessary changes
  • Work with BOH Management to control costs by reviewing portion sizes and minimizing waste
  • Estimate food and beverage needs and place orders with suppliers
  • Maintain budget and employee records
  • Prepare payroll and monitor related records
  • Ensure compliance with all company and government regulations
  • Arrange maintenance and repair of equipment as needed
  • Develop managers and staff through regular training, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Foster an engaging and energetic team environment
  • Drive growth and sales through marketing initiatives
  • Conduct regular P&L reviews to analyze financial performance

Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of experience in fine dining as a General Manager
  • Experience in a similar environment
  • Self-starter, flexible, and capable of working independently
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience conducting performance reviews (written and verbal)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, or equivalent (asset)
