Job description

POSITION: Coach Cleaner - Summer Student

DEPARTMENT: Rail Mechanical

LOCATION: Cochrane

REFERENCE: 300-08-26

SALARY: $17.75/hour

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Cleaning/washing of coaches, parts and shop facilities
  2. Follow prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipment
  3. Janitorial duties as required
  4. Performs other related duties as assigned
  5. Summer Term: May to August (4 months)

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Preference given to students enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program or entering full-time post-secondary studies in September 2025
  2. Must be able to work full-time hours (40 hours per week)
  3. Ability to work shift work and weekends (24-hour operations)
  4. Must be 18 years of age or older due to the required shifts
  5. Good work ethic, energetic and enthusiastic
  6. Works independently with little supervision
  7. Previous cleaning/labour experience an asset
  8. Must be committed to Health and Safety
