Senior Specialist Safety and Operations Data

Join us as a Senior Specialist Safety and Operations Data at International Air Transport Association (IATA) .

About the Role

This position involves working with the Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team to develop and support data solutions that monitor safety, operational, and efficiency KPIs. Responsibilities include managing data sharing programs, supporting reporting needs, developing data visualizations, ensuring data quality, and adhering to governance policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze flight safety and operational data routinely.
  • Ensure data quality and submission consistency across GADM programs.
  • Manage ETL issues and perform testing for resolutions.
  • Create statistical and ad-hoc analysis reports.
  • Develop visualizations and liaise with stakeholders to define safety thresholds.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of operational experience in roles such as aircraft engineer, pilot, or related data recording / safety roles.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
  • Experience in data manipulation and FDA / FOQA is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

Employment Type : Permanent, Full-time

Location : Montreal, Quebec, Canada (with approximately 5% travel)
