Job description

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Clinical Manager at the branch level, is responsible for performing professional activities including assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention.

Clinical Responsibilities
  1. Assess clients, establish, and regularly evaluate and revise treatment programs, including goals and discharge plans.
  2. Maintain accurate clinical records according to the standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists, documenting assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress, and discharge plans.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team as needed.
  4. Communicate relevant information and recommendations to clients and care providers, and provide education on treatment strategies as necessary.
  5. Supervise and guide assistants involved in the Occupational Therapy program.
Other Responsibilities
  1. Maintain active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  2. Participate in ongoing internal and external educational activities.
  3. Adhere to Bayshore Healthcare / Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures.
  4. Engage in quality improvement activities and initiatives aligned with the company's Quality Management System.
  5. Participate in health and safety activities, report risks or concerns to the supervisor.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information, discussing it only with authorized personnel.
  7. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Education

Master's Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Registered and in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
