Qualifications

Senior Service / Programming Technician - Eastern Ontario Region

About Tremblay Fire Solutions Ltd.

Tremblay Fire Solutions Ltd. is a progressive company established in 2008, with 24 employees including office and field staff. We are an Authorized AUTOCALL Dealer, providing, maintaining, and servicing fire alarm systems, fire suppression, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, hoses, and emergency lights. Due to growth, we are expanding our construction Service / Installation team.

Responsibilities
  1. Report to the Construction Manager and collaborate with Project Managers to gather project information.
  2. Provide feedback on project scheduling, status, and detailed Verification Reports.
  3. Assist Electrical Contractors during installation, troubleshooting, and verification of Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring industry standards are met.
  4. Install and configure electronic components and terminate low-voltage wiring neatly and efficiently.
  5. Work closely with the Installation team, Project Managers, and Engineering Consultants on fire alarm system design and implementation.
  6. Conduct fire alarm inspections, repairs, and maintenance, and mentor trainee technicians as needed.
  7. Respond to emergency service calls.
  8. Participate in on-call rotation.
Qualifications
  1. CFAA registration or Electrical/Electronic License/Electrician certification is an asset.
  2. Knowledge of provincial building codes and ULC standards.
  3. Proficient with computers and troubleshooting electronic systems.
  4. Minimum of three years experience as a Fire Alarm Technician preferred.
  5. Experience with Simplex/JCI programming and other manufacturers is an asset.
  6. Factory training on fire alarm systems is an asset.
  7. Proficient with hand tools and small power tools.
  8. Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams of Fire Alarm Systems.
  9. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  10. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, and scaffolding.
  11. Valid driver’s license required.
  12. Strong focus on safety and teamwork.
