As a Contaminant Hydrogeologist, you will join our Western Canadian offices as part of our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation, and Monitoring (ARRM) team. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in and promoting Montrose’s safety culture
  • Managing site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects, including scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documents such as correspondence, proposals, work plans, and reports
  • Ensuring high-quality deliverables through internal collaboration
  • Supporting knowledge transfer, training, and mentorship of colleagues
  • Engaging in professional development and growth opportunities
What We Are Looking For
  • Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
  • Membership in a professional organization (e.g., APEGA)
  • At least 8 years of consulting experience in site assessment, remediation, and monitoring, focused on hydrogeology
  • Knowledge of BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with field activities such as borehole logging and sample collection
  • Strong data evaluation and decision-making skills
  • Experience in technical report writing, presentations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor junior staff
  • Experience with Workday software is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Preference for those with managing complex salt or hydrocarbon impacted sites
