Qualifications

  • 1+ year of Fluid Hauling experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid Class 1/3 Driver’s License with Air Brakes.

Job description

Summary

The Class 1/3 Operators will work with the Vacuum Truck & Fluid Services team to provide exceptional service for our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to) Fluid hauling, spill cleanup, line flushing, high-pressure washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/materials. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting
  2. Follow company policies and procedures as well as various on-site Requirements.
  3. Provide exceptional service to all clients and professionally represent GFL.
  4. Complete daily equipment pre-trips and driver logs required for NSC compliance.
  5. Maintain detailed and accurate company documentation to accompany work performed.
  6. Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance.
  7. Participate in safety programs such as safety meetings, near miss reporting and job hazard assessments.
  8. Work independently while managing time and productivity and communicating effectively.

Requirements

  1. Flexible availability and the ability and willingness to travel out of town for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time.
  2. Valid Class 1/3 Driver’s License with Air Brakes and a fairly clean Commercial Drivers Abstract.
  3. Must be able to operate manual transmission.
  4. A minimum of 1 year of Fluid Hauling experience; Super B’s Semi-Vac, Tankers, Combo Vac, Water Truck would be considered an asset but not required.
  5. Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and H2S Alive are considered an asset.
  6. Winter Driving.

  1. Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  2. Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting.
  3. Electronic Logs.
  4. Mountain Driving.
  5. Knowledge to perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation.
  6. Winter Driving.
  7. Possesses cleanliness and organizational skills.
  8. Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned.
  9. Willing to accept after-hour calls when necessary.
  10. Able to travel and stay overnight as required.
