Team & Job Overview :
The Value Creation Operating Partner helps EDC customers grow and succeed by providing strategic advice, collaboratively developing and implementing value creation plans. This role is part of EDC’s Mid-Market Growth Businesses (“MMGB”) sub team, focused on enhancing the performance and profitability of a select portfolio of high potential mid-market companies.
The successful candidate will use their business development skills, research abilities, and market knowledge, along with a deep understanding of Canadian sector / sub-sector ecosystems and global supply chains, to drive operational and financial improvements that help Canadian businesses reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities :
Value Creation Leadership : Develop, co-create, implement, monitor and provide oversight of comprehensive value creation strategies for EDC’s high growth portfolio customers, collaborating closely with their leadership teams to drive operational and financial improvements, including :
Operational Improvements : Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of portfolio companies’ operations to reduce costs, boost profitability and improve financial performance.
Market Intelligence : Keep current on Canadian innovation ecosystems, technologies, and gather market intelligence in specified sectors of expertise to augment and maintain key relevant industry sector strategies.
Developing Export-Oriented Partnerships : Support the creation of partnerships that help customers expand globally.
Team Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, offering your expertise and guidance to support the success of our investments.
