Job summary

A leading company in sustainable agriculture is seeking a motivated intern to develop customer relationship skills and gain hands-on experience in the field. This internship offers a chance to work closely with Sales reps and enhance your skills in a dynamic environment. You will assist in managing demo plots, contribute to social media content, and learn about UPL's product portfolio. Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an Agriculture-related degree or diploma and have strong communication and leadership abilities.

Objectives :

• Develop customer relationship skills by working with and observing interactions between Territory Manager (TM) and growers.
• Obtain experience with presentation skills and working in a team environment.
• Gain experience with regional crops, and UPL product portfolio.
• Positive summer experience to enhance future skills as a qualified candidate for full-time employment with UPL.

Required Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing an Agriculture-related Bachelor's degree or Agriculture diploma from an accredited program Agri-business or Agronomy major preferred.
• Completion of at least 2nd year of study desired.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Skilled in computer use (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Superior work ethic and highly motivated.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills / experience desired.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.
• Written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence decision-making.
• Basic knowledge of farming practices.
• Agriculture / agronomy background is preferred.

Job Duties :

• Join Sales rep on sales calls with key retailers and farm customers.
• Work independently to assist Sales reps in their territories.
• Build interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with TM’s and customers.
• Assist in themanagement of demo plots where product data is collected, analyzed, and summarized.
• Contribute to social media content.
• Maintain and observe safe working and driving conditions.
