Your Role

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution with the Infrastructure Advisory Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical analysis and transaction advisory services to infrastructure project sectors such as roads, bridges, water / wastewater, district energy, hospitals, prisons, airports, schools, defense, and ports, focusing on financing and procurement strategies for the public sector.
  • Develop and revise financial models.
  • Conduct market research and analysis, including due diligence and review of precedent practices for infrastructure projects and investments.
  • Support the development of reports, information memorandums, research, and industry papers.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, proposals, presentations, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Analyze project finance structures, instruments, and pricing from a commercial and financial perspective.
  • Draft and review procurement documents, schedules, and benchmark precedent projects.
  • Advise on alternative financing options such as P3, AFP, and other innovative transaction structures, ensuring optimal risk transfer and bankability.
  • Perform due diligence and detailed analysis to develop strategies and business plans supporting client investments.
  • Utilize strong writing skills to prepare comprehensive reports for various assignments.
  • Contribute to winning proposals and participate in client presentations.
  • Enhance understanding of the Canadian advisory marketplace and gain exposure to diverse clients and major infrastructure projects across the country.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  • MBA or master’s degree is an asset.
  • CAPM / PMP, LEAN / Six Sigma, and security clearance are assets.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar advisory role, consulting with public and private sector clients.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, business case, report writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Solid financial modeling skills in Excel.
  • Experience with roads, transportation, buildings, and energy infrastructure is an asset.
  • Experience with public-private partnerships, alternative financing, procurement models, and procurement documents is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret and present information effectively, with excellent relationship-building skills.

Approximate Base Salary Range : $80,000 CAD to $100,000 CAD. Salary is role, level, and location-dependent, with additional bonuses.
