One of our companies is currently looking for an Engineering Manager in Canada, the UK, and 40 U.S. states.

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers building critical solutions for public sector clients. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software while mentoring and developing your team. You’ll work closely with product and design leads, participate in strategic planning, and foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture. Accountabilities:

  • Coach and mentor direct reports to strengthen both technical and soft skills
  • Manage team workload, maintain high-quality standards, and advocate for work-life balance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align team objectives with company strategy
  • Lead technical planning and execution, including scheduling, backlog management, and release cycles
  • Optimize engineering processes to increase efficiency and team satisfaction
  • Serve as a key liaison between engineering and cross-functional departments

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an engineering management role, leading teams of 4 or more
  • Background as a software engineer with current understanding of development frameworks and tools
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring engineers and helping them grow professionally
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with hiring processes, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a people-first management approach

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary between $180,000 and $220,000
