Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

You will lead the pursuit of new prospects for Dana Hospitality in Western Canada.

Based in Calgary or Edmonton, you will play a key role in the generation, management, and conversion of a sustainable pipeline of potential contracts that reflect Dana’s strategic business objectives. Through B2B sales, you will be calling on c-suite and key decision makers within targeted industry sectors, government agencies, colleges, and universities. Imbedded in the Dana Hospitality Business, you will lead the implementation of our strategic business plan, and be responsible for providing sales and marketing support to operational team members.

Your work will include:

  • A true hunter, never happy with status quo, constantly looking for the next deal all the while nurturing lasting relationships that renders a high closing ratio.
  • Work towards exceeding goals and targets related to growth or maintenance of your assigned region, including profitability goals, targets, and other agreed-upon objectives.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits, develop prospects and centers of influence regularly, spending over 80% of your time enhancing relationships.
  • Network within targeted associations and industries gathering market intelligence and connections.
  • Lead, in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders, the preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Produce winning strategies for target opportunities including innovative solutions to meet client's requirements.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 5 years B2B sales and business development experience.
  • Minimum 3 years solution selling.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive-level decision makers.
  • Understanding of consultative selling methodologies, such as Miller Heiman & Challenger Sales, including working knowledge of Salesforce.
