Job description

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Salad / Sandwich Maker to join our Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The Salad Sandwich Maker is responsible for helping with the basic preparation of food and ensuring that all the flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned, sanitized, and up to the Lodge standards.

Position Details

This position is based on a days on, days off rotation, working hour shifts per day. The hourly wage is $.

Responsibilities

1. The preparation of salad bar items, including the preparation of basic foods and portioning.
2. Ensuring all flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned, sanitized, and meet Lodge standards.
3. Creativity with salad and sandwich making, including made-to-order specialty sandwiches.
4. Working efficiently to produce high volumes of salad and sandwich products.
5. Overseeing the stocking of all food serving areas, focusing on quality, appearance, adequate stock levels, and minimizing waste.
6. Maintaining daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and serving of salads and sandwiches to meet kitchen demands.
7. Preparing salads and sandwiches according to specifications and in sufficient quantities for the day's needs.
8. Assisting in other kitchen tasks during production as needed.
9. Following sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment.

Qualifications

1. Valid food safety certificate.
2. Experience as a Salad / Sandwich Maker.
3. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
4. Ability to prioritize and multitask.
5. Works well under pressure.
