Food Store Supervisor

• Wage: $20- $25 per hour (performance reviews and subsequent salary increases as per company policy)

• Employment terms and conditions: Full-Time (40-45 hours per week), permanent, morning, day, weekend, overtime (during the busy season, hours may increase up to 9 hours a day)

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: High School
• Experience: 1 year related experience
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods; Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks; Work under pressure
• Personal Suitability: Client focus, Team player, Dependability, Initiative, Ability to multitask
• Work setting/area of work: Butcher shop/Grocery store

Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers (3-4 people)
• Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
• Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
• Maintain specified inventory and be in charge of ordering product
• Train staff on cashier duties and cleaning tasks
• Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage, and cleanliness
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised
• May perform managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, handling bank deposits, and responding to complaints
• Developing and implementing marketing strategies
