Job Description

Under the direction of the Front Office Manager and/or Front Office Supervisor, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to each guest. The agent operates according to the policies, procedures, quality standards, and services established by the management team to ensure guest satisfaction. Must be willing to work shifts and weekends if required, and be able to work rapidly during busy periods while remaining calm and professional.

Education Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a full-service hotel.
  • Minimum 2 years of computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer.
  • Experience with Micros OPERA PMS system is an asset.
  • Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
  • Standard First Aid certification.
Skills Requirements
  • Working knowledge of reservation systems, including taking reservations, dupe checks, non-guaranteed cancellations, claimed reservations, and setting house statistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation, including flexible hours, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to the organization.
  • Must have employment eligibility in Canada.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the area and surrounding attractions.
