Established in 1976, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. The SIIT Trades and Industrial department is offering a program that prepares participants for entry level employment in hotel operations and a potential for apprenticeship in the guest services trade.
As the educational leader in the classroom, the Guests Services Representative Applied Certificate Instructor will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs with the purpose of promoting student success. This position is to organize and implement instructional activities which create a learning environment that guides and provides the greatest opportunity for student success. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate. These include the following broad range of accountabilities:

Required Qualifications and Experience:Three (3) to six (6) years of related experience in the areas of hotel and restaurant management, guest services or tourism is required. Related certification in the guest services industry is an asset. Experience in the facilitation of training in guest services occupations and workplace essentials are considered assets. For success in this position a genuine commitment to help students learn and succeed is required. Prior teaching experience would be preferred. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations would be an asset. An understanding of adult learning theories and principles is considered an asset.
