I am looking for a Distribution Center Manager for one of my clients in the retail industry, based in Montreal.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze department operations and define priorities.
2. Allocate tasks according to needs and objectives.
3. Monitor productivity and help optimize performance.
4. Analyze performance reports and adjust strategies to maximize productivity.
5. Manage resource and project costs, correct variances, and optimize budgets.

Production Management:

1. Implement standardized procedures on both shifts.
2. Set and communicate performance targets to your management team.
3. Ensure regular follow-up in the field to guarantee quality and safety.
4. Raise your team's awareness of OHS standards and ensure a safe working environment.
5. Optimize the use of material resources and ensure the quality of pallets produced.
6. Anticipate seasonal fluctuations and adapt resources accordingly.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Suggest improvements to the work environment and equipment.
2. Lead continuous improvement projects and implement them with your team.
3. Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional projects.
4. Develop a strategic plan to improve performance (productivity, OHS, quality, etc.).

Management:

1. Lead and motivate a team of supervisors and team leaders.
2. Supervise time sheets and oversee workforce management (recruitment, leave, training, etc.).
3. Define a continuous training plan to develop your team's skills.
4. Monitor performance and apply corrective measures if necessary.
5. Prepare a succession plan to ensure continuity of operations.
6. If necessary, you will replace the Senior Distribution Center Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in administration, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position.
3. Proven experience in implementing and managing operations growth.
4. Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop a team.
5. Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
6. Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
7. Good communication skills.
8. Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented.
9. Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
