I am looking for a Distribution Center Manager for one of my clients in the retail industry, based in Montreal.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze department operations and define priorities.
- Allocate tasks according to needs and objectives.
- Monitor productivity and help optimize performance.
- Analyze performance reports and adjust strategies to maximize productivity.
- Manage resource and project costs, correct variances, and optimize budgets.
Production Management:
- Implement standardized procedures on both shifts.
- Set and communicate performance targets to your management team.
- Ensure regular follow-up in the field to guarantee quality and safety.
- Raise your team's awareness of OHS standards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Optimize the use of material resources and ensure the quality of pallets produced.
- Anticipate seasonal fluctuations and adapt resources accordingly.
Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to the work environment and equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement projects and implement them with your team.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional projects.
- Develop a strategic plan to improve performance (productivity, OHS, quality, etc.).
Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of supervisors and team leaders.
- Supervise time sheets and oversee workforce management (recruitment, leave, training, etc.).
- Define a continuous training plan to develop your team's skills.
- Monitor performance and apply corrective measures if necessary.
- Prepare a succession plan to ensure continuity of operations.
- If necessary, you will replace the Senior Distribution Center Manager.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in administration, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing operations growth.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop a team.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good communication skills.
- Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
