Position Summary...

Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. The Consumables Associate is a customer service champion that contributes to the high-volume, fast-paced flow of merchandise from the backroom to the salesfloor. This Associate will function as part of a team to stock and process merchandise and assist customers with their shopping needs, all in a safe and clean environment. If you are looking for an exciting job in customer service or retail, working as a Consumables Associate may be a great fit for you!

What you'll do...

1. Offer excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and courteously, promoting products and services, helping them locate merchandise, make purchasing decisions, resolve related issues, and relay concerns as needed.
2. Cover one or more designated sectors in the sales area.
3. Perform zoning of the assigned sector.
4. Move featured items to their main module.
5. Restock merchandise left at the service counter and other store areas.
6. Assist in covering the cash register area.
7. Communicate with other associates to maintain coverage at the cash registers.
8. Contribute to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by following company directives and procedures, including filling out safety sweep records and ensuring displays are secure.
9. Store and unstore merchandise and selections as needed. Install security devices on items if necessary. Set up and fill modules, including flexible modules, and install new shelves.
