Qualifications

Job description

West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Quesnel division in BC is currently recruiting for a Silviculture Coordinator.

You'll Do:
  1. Responsible for all reforestation activities, including developing plans and prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, data collection, reporting, and budget preparation.
  2. Coordinate programs with the Silviculture team and the Planning and Operations Departments.
  3. Monitor contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certification, and health and safety programs.
You have:
  1. A forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma.
  2. A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) designation with the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC).
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges.
  4. 2-4 years of relevant silviculture experience.
  5. Proficiency with Silviculture software, including CENGEA (LRM), ArcMap, SNAP, RESULTS, and MS Office, considered an asset.
  6. Flexible work schedule, especially in the spring (planting).
Compensation Package:
  1. Salary range between $70,000 and $110,000, depending on experience, education, and location.
  2. Annual bonus opportunity.
  3. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.
