RESORT NAME: Shady Acres Resort
RESORT ADDRESS: 740 Serpent Mounds Road RR 3 Keene, ON K0L 2G0
PAY RATE: $17.75 - $18.05 per hour
JOB DURATION: April 28 - September 28, 2025

You will be responsible for grounds keeping, building repairs, and water/septic system maintenance, helping to keep the community in top shape. You'll play a key role in pool operations and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. This hands-on role will keep you active and engaged.

This position will require availability on days and weekends.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for the ground maintenance and landscaping of the property
  • Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment
  • Providing support to residents as required, such as firewood delivery and snow removal
  • Water testing and record keeping daily
  • Maintaining the pool and spa facilities
  • Responsible in managing and keeping records of the upkeep of the septic systems
  • Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings
  • Ensuring ongoing communication with the Manager
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
  • Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
  • Be prepared to accept after-hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Current water ticket or pool certificate preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Must be willing to take water certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills
