Our client, a leading medical practice specializing in preventative healthcare and evidence-based medicine, is seeking a Physician to join their Calgary-based private clinic.

The ideal candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, dietitians, exercise specialists, and mental health experts, to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that prioritizes overall health and well-being.

The successful candidate will be aligned with the clinic’s vision and values, bringing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex medical information effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
  • Make accurate diagnoses based on assessments and provide evidence-based treatment recommendations.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with the clinic’s holistic approach to patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals (nurses, dietitians, exercise specialists, mental health professionals) to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Provide ongoing patient monitoring and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize patient health outcomes.
  • Educate patients on preventative care, lifestyle modifications, and health maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with privacy regulations and clinic protocols.
  • Stay current with the latest medical research and evidence-based practices to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Foster a positive patient experience by delivering compassionate care and effectively communicating complex medical information.
  • Participate in clinic-wide initiatives to improve patient care quality and clinic operations.

Education:

  • Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice medicine in Alberta.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine.
  • Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).

Qualifications:

  • Clean criminal record.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in providing comprehensive medical care, including patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Prior experience working in a primary care or family medicine setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Experience in managing both acute and chronic health conditions, with a focus on preventative care. Experience working in a private healthcare or clinic setting is an asset.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based medicine and a holistic approach to patient care is an asset.

Skills:

  • Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management in family medicine or primary care.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, particularly in diagnosing and managing diverse patient needs.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, dietitians, exercise specialists, and mental health professionals.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Skilled in providing holistic, patient-focused care that emphasizes prevention, health maintenance, and overall well-being.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients and colleagues.
  • Preventative Care Expertise: Knowledge of evidence-based practices in health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle management.

Base Salary: $200,000 – $400,000 per year

  • Salary based on experience level.
  • Full benefits package.

  • Full time & part time opportunities available.
  • Flexible schedule.

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
