Job description

Position Summary: The Staff Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations. Provides patient care tailored to each individual based on feedback received during consultations or file reviews.

What you'll do:
  1. Ensure an excellent patient experience and assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders.
  3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely according to established workflow models, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
  5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
  6. Follow Walmart's best practices and SOPs to execute processes.
  7. Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.) effectively.
  8. Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times, adhering to provincial regulations established by regulatory bodies.
  9. Ensure patients receive all eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet their specific needs.
  10. Keep the Pharmacy open and operational during posted business hours.
  11. Assist in executing the business action plan in partnership with the Pharmacy Manager to achieve corporate goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Age: 16 or older
  • License: Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
