Base pay range

CA$15.00 / hr - CA$15.50 / hr

Description of position and job requirements :

Employees process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials. The work is physically demanding, requiring manual lifting, carrying, and moving / arranging of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting. Employees must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing from 10 to 100 lbs regularly, without assistance. They must also load and operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely over uneven and concrete surfaces.

Essential Functions :

• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods
• Work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including over inclines, stairs, and uneven surfaces
• Read and write in English
• Read labels, process incoming and outgoing orders, and move boxes accordingly
• Use proprietary computer systems to track orders and locate boxes
• Operate handheld scanners
• Climb ladders and maintain balance
• Lift and carry boxes up to 100 lbs. regularly without assistance
• Load and operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts
• Manually load boxes onto pallets and load trucks using material handling aids
