CORE Foodservice has a Key Account Manager opportunity in Quebec!

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for planning and executing a customized sales strategy for their unique segment of accounts, including Healthcare, Compliance, Multi-Unit, Hospitality, and College / University. This position requires deep knowledge of the key account segment and involves building and maintaining close relationships with Food Service Directors and Chefs at assigned operators. The Key Account Manager is always available to clients, engaging regularly through contact, local functions, product demonstrations, training, and education to better understand their needs.

Responsibilities and Job Duties
  1. Designs and implements customized sales strategies with the Director of Sales, targeted at their segment of key accounts.
  2. Collaborates with the sales team to discuss go-to-market strategies, competitive intelligence, successes, and challenges.
  3. Stays updated on operators within their segment and acts as a resource and solution provider for customers.
  4. Maintains knowledge of local key distributors to gain support for stocking and selling distributor products.
  5. Understands menu rotations, population trends, cost structures, opportunities for product penetration or conversion, and training needs for strategic accounts.
  6. Keeps an up-to-date profile for each customer, utilizing the CRM system weekly to report on sales activities, updates, and follow-ups.
  7. Monitors stock status sheets with Distributor Account Managers and communicates changes in usage or distribution.
  8. Provides sales results and updates to manufacturers as needed.
  9. Maintains samples in the office.
  10. Addresses quality control issues and communicates resolution processes.
  11. Participates in visits to key accounts with a planned itinerary.
  12. Can prepare and cook food products to assist in sales presentations.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree, vocational, or technical school degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience with a food service brokerage or national manufacturer sales, calling on regional accounts or operators.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferable.
