Project Manager Contract

Our client is a world-wide leader in Business Analytics/BI (Business Intelligence) software sales and services. They have engaged ROSS to help them recruit a Project Manager Contractor in Calgary.

• Contract Only: 6 months minimum
• Location: Calgary – onsite
• 6-8 Person team
• Has turn-around PM experience in an external consulting capacity within a software license/services or Professional Services firm (e.g., Deloitte, CapGemini, etc)
• Experience with PM of licensed software implementation
• Can create and manage a detailed work plan – needs to be able to get into the details, and ensure that the team meets its deliverable dates with high quality - requires daily/weekly monitoring of status
• Ability to manage up as well as down – know the plan details and status, but also be able to communicate to external and internal clients’ executive
• Ability to push back when necessary but in a diplomatic way – hold the line on scope and follow methodology – and hold internal and external clients accountable for their deliverables: Requirements Signoff, Design Signoff, Acceptance Criteria, etc.
• Oil and Gas domain knowledge would be nice to have
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence / data / ETL a definite plus
