The Operations and Services Financial Analyst for Cytiva Nanomedicine is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a standard cost accounting system. This role involves analyzing product costing, labor and overhead absorption, and supporting inventory management.

This position is based in Vancouver, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you'll do :

1. Review standard material, labor, subcontractor fees, and overhead costs throughout the year, tracking and maintaining them monthly to ensure corrective actions are taken to promote productivity and profitability.
2. Analyze gross margin, cost of sales, inventory trends, turnover ratios, and production yield data to inform capital allocation and cash management decisions.
3. Support Controllership in inventory accounting decisions, including E&O exceptions, and report on the impact of inventory movements on productivity metrics.
4. Collaborate with Manufacturing to plan and conduct physical inventories, reconcile them with Oracle systems, and support product/customer margin analysis by reviewing and correcting Oracle transactions.
5. Assist in analyzing variances during production and purchasing activities by reviewing production order variances and PPV, ensuring timely month-end processes for production order settlements.

Who you are :

1. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 0+ years of experience.
2. Professional cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from raw materials to finished goods and experience with ERP systems like Oracle.
4. Analytical and quantitative skills to transform data into actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with non-finance colleagues and build relationships with management and stakeholders.
6. Preferred: CPA or equivalent, industry and regulatory knowledge, and experience developing financial models for business forecasting.
