JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Ottawa Safety Council seeks a part-time, French-speaking, seasonal Pedestrian Safety Presenter to provide pedestrian safety education (WalkSafe) to children and youth within the Ottawa Core and surrounding area. Presentations are requested during the school year by Ottawa area schools and are funded primarily by the City of Ottawa. Presenters will be responsible for corresponding with the schools regarding scheduling, which will give presenters flexibility with their schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pedestrian safety presentations to the French school boards within Ottawa; therefore, a mother tongue in French is essential, with English as a second language. The candidate must have a vehicle to transport the presentation equipment. A daily mileage stipend is provided.
The ideal candidate will be a skillful communicator, have a dedicated work ethic, possess a positive attitude, and will have experience working with children, exemplary customer service and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to communicate via email.
When working, you will be the face of the Ottawa Safety Council representing our School Zone Safety programs and will be key to our customer intimacy policy involving the students, community, and stakeholders.
