Director, People & Culture | Human Resources Professional

Third Dimension Industries (3Di) , a division of Sigfusson Northern Ltd. , operates on projects across Southern Manitoba and into Saskatchewan, providing services such as road building, excavation & earthworks, flowline installations, spill cleanup, and more.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Foreman leads daily project operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and compliance. Based in Elkhorn, MB, the role involves work across Manitoba and Saskatchewan, with a flexible shift schedule that may include weekends and variable hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise project crews, including pipeline operators, laborers, and contractors, to ensure project success.
  • Maintain safety standards for all personnel, visitors, and the environment.
  • Support the Operations Manager in project and personnel management, promoting policies and expectations.
  • Respond to incidents, initiate emergency procedures, and coordinate with safety teams.
  • Lead safety meetings and ensure hazard assessments are documented.
  • Oversee excavation and construction activities, managing resources and timelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation, QA / QC procedures, and compliance.
  • Assist with equipment operations, material handling, and site security.
  • Coordinate with equipment operators and guide safe operations.
  • Perform and oversee hydrotests and related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a supervisory role within the industry.
  • Knowledge of pipeline operations and construction, especially in oil and gas.
  • Strong safety focus with relevant certifications (First Aid, CPR, H2S, etc.).
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments, with critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and documentation.
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop teams.
  • Valid driver’s license; additional supervisory training is an asset.
  • Ability to pass security and drug tests as required.
