Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our technical teams, drive execution, and translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions. This role requires a balance of technical leadership, people management, and strategic vision, ensuring that engineering teams operate efficiently while delivering a high-quality, secure, and scalable product.

As the Head of Engineering, you will oversee engineering leads across Frontend, Backend, DevOps, and Infrastructure, ensuring seamless collaboration, technical excellence, and timely project execution. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Business Teams to align technology with the company’s roadmap and vision.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Make architectural decisions that optimize system reliability and efficiency.
• Champion best practices in software development, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies that drive innovation and efficiency.

Engineering Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and mentor engineering leads and senior engineers across multiple domains.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and career development for the engineering team.
• Set clear KPIs to measure team performance and align with company goals.

Project Execution & Delivery

• Own technical project management, ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget.
• Work closely with the Product and Design teams to ensure smooth execution of feature development.
• Drive agile development, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
• Continuously refine processes to improve engineering efficiency and quality.

Stakeholder & Business Alignment

• Work with executives and product teams to align engineering with business objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and engineering priorities
• Communicate engineering progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Balance technical innovation with business priorities to ensure sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong expertise in scalable architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and modern frameworks.
• Deep understanding of agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience in project management and technical decision-making.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience working with product teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial technology (fintech), SaaS, or high-growth startups.
• Familiarity with NestJS, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.
• Strong background in data security, compliance, and performance optimization.
• Experience scaling high-traffic applications and distributed systems.
• Certifications in AWS, Agile methodologies, or cloud security are a plus.
