Accounts and Operations Assistant

About the position

Our client, a leading food flavoring company based in Toronto, Canada, supplying innovative and high-quality flavoring ingredients for all food applications, is seeking an Accounts and Operations Assistant who is dedicated to supporting its business operations and providing exceptional service to its business partners.

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor website leads and allocate them to sales representatives as needed
  2. Handle smaller customer requests and coordinate with R&D to initiate customer projects
  3. Support the creation of quality specification documents
  4. Assist in developing and maintaining quality protocol documentation under the direction of the Director
  5. Invoice customers and liaise with accounting to ensure proper record and management of sales orders
  6. Assist with logistics coordination and documentation related to shipping
  7. Coordinate with the operations analyst to schedule production of sales orders
  8. Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments
  9. Assist with other administrative projects as required
  10. Create and update business reports for management meetings

Qualifications

  1. High attention to detail
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. University degree in Food Science preferred
  4. Experience using MS Excel or equivalent software
  5. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  6. Experience in the food industry or with flavor houses is an asset
