Job description

Our Customer, established in 1952 as a family business with deep roots in rural communities, has grown to become one of Canada’s largest tax and financial consulting firms for small businesses. With 12 branches across the country, they support over 15,000 Canadian entrepreneurs and small business owners, including farmers, construction contractors, skilled trades, and self-employed professionals. A membership is more than just a single tax filing—it’s a long-term partnership. They work alongside their members throughout their lives, saving them over 22 million dollars through year-round collaboration on optimal tax strategies and planning, allowing them to focus on what matters most: running their businesses and enriching their communities.

Position Overview

As a Tax Advisor, you will meet with members in their place of business to understand their financial situation and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term. In addition, you will introduce them to the full range of services, including bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. This includes support in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management, as their needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to members.
  • Foster strong relationships with members and secure member referrals.
  • Meet with members in their place of business.
  • Recognize member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.
  • Participate in community events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
