Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

Job Summary: Responsible for ringing out each customer’s purchases while ensuring total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

1. Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register including cash, check, and charge transactions.
2. Accurately provide change to customers.
3. Follow proper procedure for closing out of register at end of shift.
4. Request additional help as needed to maintain appropriate customer service levels.
5. Offer assistance to customers with large purchases as needed (carry purchases out to their cars).
6. Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
7. Perform general housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a professional and clean checkout area.
8. Assist in the maintenance of general store cleanliness including restrooms, break rooms, backrooms, and entryways - responsible for daily store standards.
9. Replenish register supplies as needed.
10. Answer the phone using appropriate greeting and maintaining customer service levels as needed.
11. Assist in inventory management, price marking, and merchandising of the checkout area and surrounding departments as needed.
12. React to potential shoplifters following company policy.
13. Assist in the implementation of Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising).
14. Assist in ordering replacement products from the appropriate supplier.
15. Assist in identifying and returning outdated or overstocked merchandise to the proper source.
16. Accurately package and prepare items for home/business delivery.
17. Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Attendance Requirements:

Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts.

Experience:

• Preferred: 0-1 years previous experience in a related position.

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Drug test.
• Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
• Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.

Compensation:

$15.50 - $16.00 an hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
