KPMG’s Business School (KBS) Audit is committed to building the knowledge and skills of audit professionals to maintain and uphold audit quality in client work. The KBS supports their professional development through high-quality, interactive web-based and instructor-led training. We are currently seeking an eager Learning Designer to join our team, offering strong opportunities for career development in web-based learning.

What You Will Do
  • Map technical course material (facilitator guides, slide decks, and exercise materials) and apply instructional design principles to produce cohesive and effective courses (web-based and instructor-led) on technical audit and accounting topics, using rapid development tools.
  • Manage course development, ensuring timelines are met and resources are used effectively.
  • Develop and maintain training forms, job aids, and related materials.
  • Engage with clients, Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to ensure content and delivery align with business goals and learner needs.
  • Test course effectiveness on the learning management system and document findings.
  • Maintain project documentation and organize course folders.
  • Serve as a technical resource for internally developed and presented programs.

What You Bring To The Role
  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Instructional Design and Adult Learning.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in eLearning instructional design.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • 2+ years of experience with Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline).
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft effective instructional text.
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Relationship-building skills and openness to feedback.
  • Programming skills are an asset.
  • Familiarity with other eLearning tools like Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, or similar is an asset.
  • Audio/video editing skills are an asset.

This role requires fluency in English, both written and oral, to support collaboration with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range

The base salary range is $73,000 to $109,500, potentially including bonuses. Salary within this range depends on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
