What you'll do


Responsibilities


Reporting to the Bookstore Manager, you will support in coordinating general merchandise buying, sales, and inventory, including marketing, for the pan-provincial campus bookstores. You will also assist with bookstore operations, customer service, store upkeep, and preparations during peak times and semester rushes.


What you'll need


Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least three years' experience in retail purchasing, merchandising, and/or product management, preferably in relevant categories such as apparel, stationery, and gifts.
  • Understanding of higher education retail, including buying, inventory management, and e-commerce strategies.
  • Proven success in product management, purchasing, merchandising, and leadership.
  • Experience in post-secondary bookstore management and/or marketing is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, e-mail, POS systems, and eCommerce.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Software and analysis tools like Excel is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar software is an asset.
  • Comfortable working in digital environments and committed to technological advancement.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge
