SUMMARY:
The College of Business (COB) at East Texas A&M University is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Assistant Dean. The position is a full-time, 9-month, tenured position, at the Associate or Full Professor rank, with two courses per long semester teaching responsibilities. The position is responsible for leading College of Business graduate programs and manages all Business Administration (BA) and College of (COB) Business courses. The Assistant Dean will support scheduling, implementation, development and quality standards for BA, COB, and graduate programs. The Assistant Dean serves on the COB Executive Committee.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides teaching, scholarly activity, and service consistent with rank
- Serves as a role model and mentor for faculty, staff, and students
- Manages all graduate programs in the college
- Manages all BA and COB courses
- Provides insight into trends in graduate education related to business programs
- Works closely with the Dean of the School, the Graduate School staff, and the COB Graduate Advisors
- Supports the implementation and alignment with college policies and accreditation standards in the COB graduate programs
- Maintains AACSB standards and vision within the graduate programs
- Creates and implements graduate course schedules and schedules for BA and COB classes
- Supports fiduciary responsibility within the college
- May serve on selected departmental, college, and university committees
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education:A terminal degree in a relevant business field or closely related field of study from a university with an AACSB accredited business program
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills:Peer reviewed journal publications within the last 5 years sufficient to maintain AACSB SA status and supportive of a university with R2 research status
- Must be able to be qualified as graduate faculty
- Prior leadership experience
- Experience teaching both online and face-to-face graduate courses in fields offered in the College of Business
- Prior experience with developing and implementing graduate programs
PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, or fields associated with Management Science
- Currently holds rank of Associate or Full Professor
SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:
Supervises faculty and staff in the department
