Position Details:

5. Wage Range: $40.71 - $45.44 Hourly

Job Overview:

1. Maintain a clean and safe worksite;
2. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all small engines, motorized and non-motorized equipment, light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles including Emergency Service Vehicles;
3. Ensure all vehicles are inspected and maintained in compliance with the Municipality of Jasper’s Fitness Safety Certificate and Safety and Maintenance Programs;
4. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using manuals and test equipment (i.e., Cummins Insight, Sauer-Danfoss);
5. Use online services (i.e., ShopKey Pro, Truck Series) to efficiently repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems;
6. Order, purchase, receive, and track costs for parts and supplies as required, following the Municipality of Jasper’s purchasing policy and accounting procedures;
7. Maintain an inventory of common supplies, parts, and components;
8. Effectively and safely operate all vehicles and mobile equipment owned and operated by the Municipality of Jasper;
9. Maintain digital and hard copy maintenance files on all vehicles and equipment;
10. Write service reports;
11. Interpret work orders and technical manuals;
12. Engage and participate in Municipality of Jasper safety policies and procedures;
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

1. English Fluency Level required for position: Advanced

Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience:

1. Heavy Equipment Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience;
2. CVIP Technician;
3. Class 3 Driver’s License with Airbrakes Endorsement;
4. WHMIS Certification;
5. Standard First Aid/CPR.
