About the role

Our Business Advisors (BA) are customer-centric and excel at connecting with clients. As a key member of the Canadian Banking network, your focus will be to provide exceptional service throughout the customer journey by:

  1. Managing an assigned portfolio of high-value and/or complex business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank’s Service Standards.
  2. Building a strong presence within the local business community by developing relationships with various Centres of Influence.
  3. Proactively engaging with new and existing clients to build lasting relationships and offer comprehensive advice to support their business success.
  4. Partnering with fellow advisors to foster a customer-centric environment.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Possess a results-oriented attitude and have solid knowledge of the business banking market, including features and benefits of business products and services, understanding of financial statements, risk management policies, and legal/security documentation.
  • Demonstrate excellent business development skills and familiarity with legal structures, business life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternative financing sources.
  • Have good organizational skills and adaptability to a changing environment.
  • Be a strong relationship builder and communicator, enjoy meeting new people, and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Have education in a business-related discipline or equivalent experience as a business owner.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
