With a strong commitment to Inuit-led development and community empowerment, Nukik is shaping a cleaner, more connected future for Nunavummiut.

Summit Search Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director, Project Planning and Delivery, to lead the development and execution of major infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this full-time, two-year term position plays a critical leadership role in guiding projects from concept to implementation. The Director will manage work plans, business cases, contractor oversight, financial models, and stakeholder engagement while supporting community outreach. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep project management experience, a strong understanding of infrastructure development, and a passion for meaningful impact in Northern communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Develop detailed business cases and project work plans, ensuring all deliverables are strategically aligned with community, financial, and operational goals.
  3. Oversee contractor selection and scope development while managing external vendors to meet project milestones and quality expectations.
  4. Support financial modelling processes to evaluate project viability, develop cost forecasts, and assess funding needs.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, government stakeholders, and partners, ensuring transparent communication and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.
  6. Guide community engagement strategies to ensure local voices are represented and integrated into all stages of planning and delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  2. 8+ years of experience in project planning, execution, or infrastructure delivery, preferably in energy, telecom, or public works.
  3. Demonstrated success in financial modelling, business case development, and funding proposal writing.

  5. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
  6. PMP Certification is considered an asset.
