WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Filling Associate Manager to provide visible leadership on the manufacturing floor to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are upheld.

This position will be based out of our Eastside Manufacturing facility located in Etobicoke.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Must ensure relevant safety regulations are fully complied with, including personal protective equipment, fall protection, forklift, and hazard communication requirements.
  • Ensure production constraints / bottlenecks are removed, prioritize resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement amongst the employees.
  • Identify areas for opportunities in production in workflow and process reliability, with required documentation, to reduce downtime and meet quality standards.
  • Lead teams to run production on the line while ensuring safety and product quality.
  • Lead teams to identify defects on equipment, cleaning, inspections and execute corrective actions to address any defects as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments in ensuring completion of assigned projects to meet deadlines.
  • Thoroughly investigate all accidents and complete accident report on the date of occurrence.
  • Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping in the Production Department.
  • Communicate relevant information to the teams, understanding the impact to the morale and productivity of the teams.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Prior technical experience in processing and packaging in manufacturing is an asset.
  • Prior experience in lean six sigma is desired.
  • Proven supervisory and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in manufacturing is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, strong interpersonal skills.
