Assistant Team Lead (Specialty Cheese & Deli)

Job Description

Attention all cheese connoisseurs! We're seeking a Specialty Grocery Team Leader with a passion for all things cheesy (and other specialty products too!). As the captain of our specialty team, you'll lead the charge in championing quality, scratch cooking, theatre, service, and love. You'll be responsible for buying and inventory management, regulatory compliance, and special projects.

You'll work closely with the team leader and team members to ensure we're delivering the highest customer service standards, executing retail flawlessly, and maintaining exceptional team morale.

As our resident cheese expert, you'll oversee the production, quality, and distribution of our specialty cheese products. You'll develop and implement production plans and schedules, train and mentor team members on specialty production techniques, and ensure all products meet quality standards (including taste, texture, and appearance). You'll also seek opportunities to improve production processes and reduce waste.

You'll also be responsible for retail management duties like monitoring sales, controlling costs, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
