Partner Staffing, on behalf of our client, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Lead ICE Engineer to join our Calgary-based team. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in instrumentation, control systems, and electrical engineering, particularly within industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage project execution, and ensure the highest standards of technical integrity and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical solutions for complex projects.
2. Manage a team of engineers and designers; provide mentorship and ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
3. Oversee the preparation of engineering deliverables, including SLDs, P&IDs, I/O lists, control narratives, MCC layouts, panel designs, and instrumentation datasheets.
4. Perform or review detailed calculations for electrical load studies, cable sizing, grounding, lighting, and power distribution.
5. Interface with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
6. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning for the ICE discipline.
7. Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and factory/site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
8. Support business development, including proposal writing, estimates, and client presentations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; P.Eng. designation in Alberta required.
2. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in instrumentation, controls, and electrical design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior project role.
3. Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., CSA, IEEE, NEC, API, ISA).
4. Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, and control system platforms (e.g., PLCs, DCS, SCADA).
5. Demonstrated experience with industrial projects in sectors such as oil & gas, water/wastewater, or manufacturing.
6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
