Job description

Senior Business Analyst - Clinical Registry Modernization

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Clinical Registry Modernization with extensive experience in health data management and business analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of integration protocols, APIs, and data modeling techniques, as well as hands-on experience in ETL scripting and database design. Proficiency in healthcare standards such as HL7 and ICD-10 is also required.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead workshops to gather business requirements and identify pain points for clinical registries.
2. Develop current / future state workflows, data flows, and system integration diagrams.
3. Gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
4. Validate solution design and facilitate privacy / security assessments (PIA, STRA, ISA).
5. Guide Ministry of Health (MOH) Conformance process and testing.
6. Propose sustainment models and create SOPs for future registry onboardings.
7. Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
8. Work with DHI to integrate solutions with existing systems and data models.
9. Develop API specifications, data exchange formats, and system workflows.
10. Conduct testing and validation for application configurations and database designs.
11. Provide project management support, tracking progress, and identifying risks / issues.

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

• 10+ years of experience in BC health data management and working as a business analyst.
• Proven expertise in managing complex business, technical, and functional requirements.
• Extensive experience in system design, application configuration, and database management.
• Strong understanding of integration protocols, APIs, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience with Ministry of Health Conformance Standards and processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and ensuring timely project delivery.
• Proficiency in healthcare standards such as HL7 and ICD-10.
• Hands-on experience developing ETL scripts and designing databases.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience :

• Experience with healthcare IT projects in BC.
• Previous experience with clinical registries and health data integration.
