Job Summary
AKS Engineering & Forestry (AKS) is seeking a professional civil engineer as a full‐time Land Development Project Manager for our Vancouver, Washington office. You will work closely with our principals and multidisciplinary task leads on a variety of projects throughout the region. This position is ideal for a registered professional engineer capable of leading private land development projects and managing them independently. Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• 5-10 years of civil engineering design experience related to private land development.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Oregon or Washington PE license.
• Ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Experience managing site development projects in Washington.
• Knowledge of local codes and agency standards.
• Understanding of financial reports, time management, and team leadership skills.
• Proficiency in civil engineering technical skills and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Reputation for high client service levels.
• Experience or training in project management.
• Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads experience.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Job Functions and Responsibilities

You will lead project management and technical delivery of site development projects, potentially including residential, industrial, commercial, educational, or recreational projects. Responsibilities include:

• Business development and client relationship management.
• Mentoring engineering staff and developing plans, specifications, and reports.
• Stamping final deliverables.
• Managing project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Providing technical leadership and coordinating with internal and external teams.
• Conducting QA/QC reviews.
• Managing projects from proposal to construction, including site and infrastructure design per standards.
• Networking with clients and agency staff.
• Participating in project management meetings.
• Driving company vehicle to sites and meetings.
