Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating contracts, analyzing market trends, and building strong supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products at optimal prices.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes, prepare price analyses, and make recommendations; negotiate prices, delivery, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers; participate in improvement projects aligned with corporate initiatives.
• Prepare purchase orders based on final negotiations with suppliers, aligned with organizational goals.
• Maintain data integrity regarding lead times, delivery, and costs.
• Manage inventory levels by reviewing demand patterns and adjusting stocking levels accordingly.
• Source and develop new suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite critical deliveries.
• Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with QA to monitor supplier performance, maintain supplier scorecards, and conduct vendor audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives.

Required Qualifications

• A relevant certification (e.g., CPSM) or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in issuing RFQs and purchase orders.
• Experience with procurement software (ERP, MRP, QMS).
• Background supporting engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and support product development.

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; certification is a plus.
• Experience in BOM management and processing RMAs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical data.
• Proven experience as a Senior Technical Buyer or similar role.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of procurement principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards like AS9100 / ISO9100.

Travel Requirements

Up to 30% travel for supplier visits and related activities.

Work Authorization
