A leading hotel in Vancouver seeks a Guest Service Agent to handle guest requests and provide information about amenities and services. The role requires a high school diploma with no prior experience necessary. Join a diverse team committed to exceptional hospitality and professional growth.
Answer, record, and process all guest requests, questions, or concerns via telephone, email, chat, and mobile communication devices. Operate telephone switchboard, process guest requests for wake-up calls, and connect and direct calls to the appropriate extension. Receive, record, and relay messages accurately. Log all guest requests or issues into the computer, contact the appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping), and follow up with guests to ensure their requests are resolved satisfactorily. Provide information about room features, property amenities, and local areas of interest. May process room service orders, answer menu questions, and record transactions in the point-of-sale system. Assist guests with internet access and guestroom entertainment.
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests genuinely. Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones with proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and comply with quality assurance standards. Read and verify information in various formats; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors.

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

The starting pay is $25.98/hour, with increases to $28.67/hour after 4 months, and $31.85/hour after 6 months.
