Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. The commitment to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

This role reports to the Coordinator and involves assessing, developing, and implementing individual and group treatment programs to ensure optimal patient care for the assigned caseload. The position also requires coordinating patients' treatment programs with referring physicians and other medical professionals.

Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience

• Graduation from a university program in Physiotherapy recognized by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
• Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Physiotherapist.
• Eligibility for membership with the CPA.

Skills and Abilities

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning and instructional skills.
• Ability to organize individual patient treatment programs.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other professional disciplines as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
