Job description

KLS Earthworks & Environmental is hiring for a Topman & Pipelayer. The candidate must have the following experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the Foreman to perform all water and sewer activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Install and / or repair water lines, sewer, storm, fire hydrants and catch basins
• Install culverts and rip rap
• Perform physical tasks such as top cutting pipe and taking elevation shots
• Perform Field Level Hazard Assessments and ensure trench crews have the required tools and materials to complete tasks
• Co-ordinate layout of pipe routes with drawings, survey and check slopes for conformance requirements
• Strong attention to detail
• Take pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications :

• 2 years experience as a Topman
• 2 Years experience as a Pipelayer
• CSTS-09
• Fall Protection
• Confined Space Entry & Rescue
• Rigging & Hoisting
