Job description

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time Teaching/Coordinator position (1.0 FTE) at Rochfort Bridge Colony School.

Successful Candidate Responsibilities

  • Planning, assessing and coordinating school programming for K-9 students
  • Supervision of Education Assistants
  • Lead teacher with Education Assistant support

The Successful Candidate Must

  • have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • have successful teaching experience
  • have classroom practice that is focused on:
  • a student-centered approach to instruction and teacher-student relationships
  • effective organization/classroom management
  • enhancing collaboration and building capacity in the areas of literacy and numeracy with school staff
  • inclusive Education practices, demonstrating a commitment to student achievement through a focus on curriculum-instruction-assessment and the Teaching Quality Standard
  • the domains of the NGPS Quality Learning Environment (QLE)
  • strong and effective communication with parents and the community
  • have school practice that is focused on:
  • a commitment to student achievement
  • outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • developing effective relationships with relevant stakeholders

Start Date

  • Duties will commence August 26, 2025.
