Probationary Full-Time Grade 1 Teacher

Canyon School, located in Pincher Creek, Alberta, is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

We are seeking a full-time probationary teacher to teach Division 1, starting August 25, 2025.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;
  • A strong understanding of outcomes-based assessment practices;
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of an instructional team;
  • A commitment to building relationships with students to foster a safe, caring, and welcoming environment;
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
  • Experience with current outcomes-based assessment methods, including developing portfolios and projects;
  • A passion for working with ethnically diverse students, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students;
  • The ability to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, and curricular needs;
  • An Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain one.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
